2. Acceptance of Terms and modifications
2.1 Clickwrap acceptance
These Terms form a binding legal contract. Acceptance is recorded by means of a clickwrap mechanism — specifically, the User's affirmative action of tapping or clicking the “I Agree”, “Accept”, or equivalent button presented during the registration flow. A timestamp and unique identifier of this acceptance event are logged by Sportsaathi's systems. No User may access the Services without completing this affirmative acceptance step.
2.2 Capacity to contract
By accepting these Terms, you represent and warrant that:
- You are a natural person of at least eighteen (18) years of age, or, where Sportsaathi has expressly permitted access to users aged thirteen (13) to seventeen (17) in accordance with Section 5.3, a legal guardian accepting on behalf of such minor;
- You have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
- You are not prohibited by any applicable law from using the Platform or receiving the Services;
- All information you provide during registration and use of the Platform is true, accurate, current, and complete.
2.3 Modifications to these Terms
Sportsaathi reserves the right to amend, modify, or replace these Terms at any time. The following process shall apply:
- Non-Material Changes: Corrections of typographical errors, formatting updates, or clarifications that do not alter the substance of any clause will take effect immediately upon posting, with an updated “Last Reviewed” date.
- Material Changes: Any change that substantially affects Users' rights, obligations, or the nature of the Services will be communicated at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance via in-app notification, registered email, or SMS.
- Changes Requiring Consent: Where a material change introduces a new processing activity, new fee structure, or new limitation of rights, Sportsaathi will present Users with a fresh consent prompt before the change takes effect.
- Continued Use: Your continued use of the Platform after any modification takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to any modification, you must immediately cease using the Platform and delete your Account.
3. Nature of the Platform and scope of Services
3.1 Platform as technology intermediary
Sportsaathi operates exclusively as a technology platform and digital intermediary. The Company facilitates the organisation, recording, and tracking of real-world sports matches and tournaments, and provides tools for performance analytics, community engagement, and leaderboard generation. Sportsaathi is an intermediary as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its obligations and protections are governed accordingly.
3.2 What Sportsaathi does
- Provides a digital infrastructure for Users to record, track, and publish match scores and statistics from real-world sporting activities;
- Generates player rankings and leaderboard standings based on User-inputted data and Sportsaathi's algorithms;
- Facilitates the organisation of and registration for tournaments — both those officially organised by Sportsaathi and those organised by Registered Organisers;
- Provides community features enabling Users to discover, join, and coordinate participation in real-world Matches;
- Records the participation Fee stated by an organiser, and allows a participant to submit proof of a payment made directly to that organiser for the organiser's review and approval;
- Provides performance analytics and related insights derived from recorded Match data.
3.3 What Sportsaathi does not do
Sportsaathi expressly does not:
- Organise, supervise, control, or oversee any Match that is not an officially designated Sportsaathi tournament;
- Guarantee the physical safety of any User participating in any Match or sporting event;
- Verify, validate, or certify the accuracy of any Match data, scores, or statistics entered by Users, except in officially organised Sportsaathi tournaments; in officially organised Sportsaathi tournaments, Sportsaathi uses reasonable commercial efforts to validate match data using available system records and designated officials, but does not warrant that all data is error-free;
- Employ or engage any User as an employee, contractor, or agent for the purpose of playing or officiating in any Match;
- Act as an insurer, guarantor, or underwriter of any Match outcome, Reward, or User participation;
- Charge Users for access to digital features, content, or functionalities within the Platform;
- Offer or facilitate any form of betting, gambling, wagering, or prize pooling derived from participant entry Fees;
- Guarantee winnings or monetary returns based on participation;
- Provide any service that constitutes gambling, wagering, or betting under applicable Indian law.
Important: Matches organised through the Platform by Users (i.e., not officially organised by Sportsaathi) are entirely the responsibility of the Users involved. Sportsaathi bears no liability whatsoever for the conduct, outcome, safety, or disputes arising from such Matches.
3.4 Service availability
Sportsaathi endeavours to make the Platform available on a continuous basis but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be unavailable or its functionality reduced due to scheduled or emergency maintenance, technical failures, Force Majeure Events (as defined in Section 20), actions or failures of Third-Party Service Providers, or regulatory or governmental directives. Sportsaathi shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damage arising from any unavailability or interruption of the Platform or Services.
3.5 Commitment to fairness and integrity
Sportsaathi endeavours to maintain fairness, transparency, and integrity in all Platform activities and may take reasonable steps to assist Users in resolving disputes that arise in connection with the use of the Platform. Sportsaathi may monitor activities on the Platform to ensure fair participation and may take action against Users or Registered Organisers found to be engaging in unfair practices, in accordance with Section 11 and Section 12 of these Terms.
4. Registration and account management
4.1 Registration process
To access the Services, Users must create an Account by completing the registration process, which requires:
- Providing a valid mobile phone number for OTP-based authentication;
- Providing accurate personal information as prompted during registration;
- Affirmatively accepting these Terms and the Privacy Policy;
- Completing any age verification step required under Section 5.
4.2 Account accuracy
You represent and warrant that all information provided during registration and throughout your use of the Platform is and shall remain accurate, current, and complete. You agree to promptly update your Account information if it changes. Sportsaathi assumes no liability for any loss, error, or harm resulting from inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete Account information provided by you.
4.3 Account security and confidentiality
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials and OTP codes;
- All activity that occurs under your Account, whether or not authorised by you;
- Ensuring that you log out of your Account after each session on shared or public devices;
- Immediately notifying Sportsaathi at support@sportsaathi.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your Account.
Sportsaathi shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security and confidentiality of your Account credentials. Any activity carried out through your Account will be deemed to have been authorised by you unless you have notified Sportsaathi of a security breach in writing prior to such activity.
4.4 One account per User
Each User is permitted to maintain only one (1) Account on the Platform. The creation of multiple Accounts by the same individual for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage on the Leaderboard, obtaining Rewards multiple times, or circumventing a Suspension or Termination is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
Where a duplicate Account is detected:
- Fraudulent duplicate (created to circumvent a Suspension, Termination, or to gain a fraudulent advantage): Sportsaathi reserves the right to merge, suspend, or permanently terminate such duplicate Accounts without prior notice and without liability.
- Inadvertent duplicate (created without fraudulent intent): Sportsaathi will notify the User and provide forty-eight (48) hours to respond before taking action.
The no-notice provision for fraudulent duplicates does not override the general notice requirements in Section 12.2, which apply only to non-fraudulent Suspension and Termination scenarios.
4.5 Account transferability
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not assign, transfer, sell, or sublicense your Account to any other person or entity. Any attempt to transfer an Account will render the Account subject to immediate Termination.
5. Eligibility and age requirements
5.1 Minimum age
The Platform is intended for use by individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. This minimum age has been set in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which classifies all individuals below eighteen (18) years of age as children and mandates verifiable parental or guardian consent for the processing of their personal data.
5.2 Age verification
During the registration process, you will be required to confirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Sportsaathi reserves the right to implement additional age verification procedures at any time. If Sportsaathi has reason to believe that a User is below the age of eighteen (18) and has registered without appropriate consent, Sportsaathi will immediately suspend the Account pending verification, request verifiable proof of age or parental/guardian consent, and permanently delete the Account and all associated personal data if verification is not completed within seven (7) calendar days of the suspension notice.
5.3 Users between 13 and 17 years of age
In exceptional circumstances where Sportsaathi determines, at its sole discretion, to make the Platform accessible to users between the ages of thirteen (13) and seventeen (17), such access will only be granted upon the following conditions, which together constitute Sportsaathi's prescribed minor onboarding process for the purpose of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:
- The parent or guardian must register a separate Account using their own verified mobile number;
- The parent or guardian must submit a government-issued photo ID (such as Aadhaar, PAN card, passport, or driving licence) through Sportsaathi's prescribed verification flow;
- The parent or guardian must affirmatively accept these Terms on behalf of the minor through a dedicated consent flow within the Platform;
- Compliance with any additional safeguards or restrictions imposed by Sportsaathi for minor users, including restrictions on public profile visibility, participation in paid tournaments, and access to community features.
Sportsaathi reserves the right to update the minor onboarding process as required by applicable law or regulatory guidance. Sportsaathi does not knowingly collect or process personal data of children below thirteen (13) years of age under any circumstance. If such data is identified, it will be deleted immediately and without notice.
5.4 Geographic eligibility
The Services are currently intended for Users located within the territory of the Republic of India. Users accessing the Platform from outside India do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws applicable in their jurisdiction.
6. Services and features
6.1 Platform access
Sportsaathi provides the following features to all registered Users without any charge for digital access (subject to change upon notice): account creation and profile management; entry of Match data and scores; viewing of team and player profiles; access to publicly visible Leaderboards; community feature participation; and performance analytics and related insights. The Platform does not sell digital goods, subscriptions, or in-app features.
6.2 Participation-based fees
Fees relate solely to participation in real-world Matches and Tournaments, and never to access to the Platform itself. Sportsaathi does not collect, hold, or process those Fees: they are paid directly by the participant to the organiser, and the Platform records the Fee stated by the organiser together with the proof of payment the participant uploads. Where a Fee applies, the amount and its purpose are shown before you pay. All Fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless expressly stated otherwise.
6.3 Leaderboard and rankings
Rankings are generated based on Match data entered by Users and processed through Sportsaathi's proprietary algorithms. No fee is charged for Leaderboard inclusion, ranking, or visibility. Rankings represent a relative standing among Users based on available data and are not an absolute or certified measure of sporting ability.
Sportsaathi reserves the right to modify, recalibrate, or update the ranking algorithm at any time. Minor adjustments (such as bug fixes or calibration improvements) may be made without prior notice. Material changes to the ranking methodology that substantially affect how rankings are calculated will be communicated at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance in accordance with Section 2.3. Historical rankings may be adjusted retroactively if manipulation or data errors are discovered. Sportsaathi does not warrant the accuracy, fairness, or completeness of any Leaderboard standing.
6.4 Tournaments
Tournaments on the Platform may be:
- Sportsaathi-Organised Tournaments (Category A): Tournaments directly organised and administered by Sportsaathi, in which data verification, officiating, and prize distribution are managed by Sportsaathi.
- User-Organised Tournaments (Category B): Tournaments created and administered by Registered Organisers using the Platform's tools. Sportsaathi provides the technology infrastructure only and bears no responsibility for the conduct, fairness, prize distribution, or dispute resolution in User-Organised Tournaments.
6.5 Community features
Community Features are subject to the Community Guidelines set out in Part C of these Terms (accessible within the Platform under Settings → Legal and at https://sportsaathi.com/terms). Users are solely responsible for their conduct within Community Features.
6A. Registered Organiser obligations
6A.1 Onboarding and eligibility
A User wishing to create and administer User-Organised Tournaments on the Platform must first complete Sportsaathi's Registered Organiser onboarding process, which includes submission of valid identity documents for KYC verification, provision of a valid bank account or UPI ID, affirmative acceptance of these Terms and the Registered Organiser Agreement, and any additional onboarding steps as Sportsaathi may specify from time to time.
6A.2 Organiser responsibilities
As a Registered Organiser, you are solely responsible for:
- The accurate and complete description of your tournament, including entry fee, format, rules, schedule, venue, eligibility criteria, and prize structure;
- The physical execution, safety, and conduct of the tournament event;
- Ensuring that the prize structure of your tournament is funded from sources independent of participant entry Fees. You may not create a structure in which participant entry Fees are pooled to fund prize awards. Prizes must be funded independently by you or a sponsor. Any tournament structure in which participant Fees fund the prize pool is strictly prohibited and may constitute an offence under applicable gambling or prize competition laws;
- Collecting participation Fees directly from participants, and issuing any refund owed to them within seven (7) Business Days of the refund being agreed or determined, since Sportsaathi neither collects nor holds those Fees;
- Collecting and maintaining any consents, waivers, or permissions required from participants for the conduct of the tournament;
- Compliance with all applicable laws, including local gaming, sports, and event regulations.
6A.3 Fees and refunds
Participation Fees for a Registered Organiser's tournament are paid directly to that organiser by each participant. Sportsaathi does not collect, hold, disburse, or settle those Fees, and receives no part of them. The Platform's role is limited to recording the Fee the organiser has stated and storing the proof of payment a participant uploads for the organiser to approve or reject.
It follows that the Registered Organiser is solely responsible for issuing any refund due to a participant, within seven (7) Business Days of the refund being agreed or determined, in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law. Sportsaathi cannot reverse a payment it never received.
If Sportsaathi begins collecting Fees on behalf of organisers in future, these Terms will be updated with advance notice under Section 2.3, and that update will set out the applicable fund-flow, settlement, and regulatory arrangements before the change takes effect.
6A.4 Organiser indemnity
The Registered Organiser agrees to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sportsaathi, its directors, officers, and employees from and against any claims, losses, damages, penalties, and costs (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: the execution, conduct, or cancellation of the Registered Organiser's tournament; any claim by a participant arising from the Registered Organiser's failure to perform its obligations; any violation of applicable law by the Registered Organiser in connection with the tournament; or any prize structure that constitutes gambling, wagering, or prize pooling in contravention of applicable law.
7. User obligations and conduct
7.1 General obligations
By using the Platform, you agree to: use the Platform solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms; provide only accurate, truthful, and genuine Match data, statistics, and information; maintain the security and confidentiality of your Account; comply with all Applicable Laws; respect the rights and privacy of other Users; and promptly notify Sportsaathi of any technical issues, security vulnerabilities, or Terms violations you become aware of.
7.2 Prohibited conduct
You expressly agree that you shall not, directly or indirectly:
7.2.1 Fraud and manipulation
- Enter false, fabricated, or misleading Match data, scores, or statistics;
- Manipulate Match results for the purpose of gaining an unfair Leaderboard advantage or Reward eligibility;
- Organise or participate in collusive arrangements with other Users to artificially inflate rankings;
- Misuse location data or override location-based validation mechanisms;
- Create or use automated scripts, bots, or other non-human means to interact with the Platform.
7.2.2 Identity and account abuse
- Impersonate any person, entity, or Sportsaathi employee;
- Create multiple Accounts for the purpose of circumventing a Suspension, Termination, or to gain an unfair advantage;
- Access another User's Account without authorisation;
- Use another person's identity or personal information to register on the Platform.
7.2.3 Illegal and harmful activity
- Use the Platform for any activity that violates Applicable Law, including gambling, wagering, or betting in any form prohibited under Indian law;
- Transmit, upload, or distribute any content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, or incites violence or illegal activity;
- Engage in harassment, intimidation, bullying, or abuse of any User, Sportsaathi employee, or third party;
- Use the Platform to transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam);
- Engage in any activity that could constitute a cybercrime under the IT Act or any other Applicable Law.
7.2.4 Technical interference
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers, databases, or associated systems;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Sportsaathi system or network;
- Introduce any virus, Trojan horse, worm, malware, spyware, or other malicious code into the Platform;
- Use any scraping, crawling, or data-mining tools to extract data from the Platform without Sportsaathi's written authorisation;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of any part of the Platform;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform or data contained therein.
7.2.5 Intellectual property violations
- Copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of any Company Content without Sportsaathi's prior written consent;
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices, watermarks, or attributions on Company Content;
- Use the Platform to infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Violation of any prohibition in Section 7.2 constitutes a material breach of these Terms and will result in enforcement action in accordance with Section 11, without prejudice to Sportsaathi's right to seek damages and other remedies available under Applicable Law.
8. Fees, payments, and pricing
8.1 Scope of fees
All Fees relate exclusively to participation in offline Matches and Tournaments. The Platform does not sell digital goods, subscriptions, or in-app features. All Fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless expressly stated otherwise.
8.2 How payment works
Payment is peer-to-peer. The participant — typically a team captain — transfers the Fee directly to the organiser by bank transfer or UPI, and then uploads proof of that transfer in the app. The organiser reviews the proof and approves or rejects it.
Sportsaathi therefore does not collect, hold, or process the Fee, and no payment gateway is involved. Sportsaathi never receives or has access to card numbers, bank account details, UPI PINs, CVV codes, or any other payment credentials. The only payment-related data the Platform holds is the proof of payment you upload and the approval status the organiser records — see Section 2.4 of the Privacy Policy.
8.3 If a payment gateway is introduced
Should Sportsaathi integrate a payment gateway or begin collecting Fees on behalf of organisers, these Terms will be updated at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance under Section 2.3, and the update will set out the fund-flow, settlement, and regulatory arrangements that then apply.
8.4 Pricing and changes
Where Fees are applicable, the amount payable will be displayed within the Platform prior to payment. A minimum of fourteen (14) calendar days' advance notice will be provided to Users via in-app notification and/or email before any increase in Fees takes effect. Users who have already paid for participation in a specific Match or Tournament prior to a change in Fees will not be subject to the revised Fees for that already-registered participation.
8.5 Taxes
All Fees displayed on the Platform are inclusive of applicable GST unless expressly stated otherwise. Sportsaathi will issue a GST-compliant invoice or receipt for all paid transactions upon request. You are responsible for any other taxes applicable to your participation in Matches or Tournaments under Applicable Law.
8.6 Rejected or disputed payments
Because payment is made directly to the organiser, a transfer that fails at your bank is a matter between you and your bank. If an organiser rejects your proof of payment, participation is not confirmed and you should raise it with the organiser in the first instance. Where a Fee has been transferred but participation does not go ahead, any refund is owed by the organiser under the Refund and Cancellation Policy; Sportsaathi cannot reverse a payment it never received.
8.7 Support response times
Sportsaathi endeavours to respond to general support queries within five (5) to seven (7) Business Days. This is a target response time and does not constitute a guaranteed service level. Formal legal notices and grievance submissions are governed by the response timelines in Section 16.
9. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds and cancellations are governed by Sportsaathi's Refund and Cancellation Policy, which is a separate standalone document available on this site and within the Platform under Settings → Legal. The Refund and Cancellation Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In the event of any inconsistency between this Section 9 and the Refund and Cancellation Policy on a refund or cancellation matter, the Refund and Cancellation Policy shall prevail.
Key principles (full details in the Refund and Cancellation Policy)
- Fees paid for participation in Matches or Tournaments are generally non-refundable once the event is confirmed, subject to defined exceptions;
- Because Fees are paid directly to the organiser, any refund is issued by that organiser; Sportsaathi cannot reverse a payment it never received;
- Refunds are expected where a tournament is cancelled, where a duplicate transfer was made, or where a Fee was paid in error;
- Tiered cancellation refunds apply to User-initiated cancellations of Sportsaathi-Organised Tournaments;
- Refund requests must be submitted at support@sportsaathi.com or via Settings → Help → Refund Request, and Sportsaathi will assist in resolving a refund dispute with an organiser;
- Account Suspension or Termination resulting from a violation of these Terms does not entitle the User to a refund.
10. Leaderboard, rankings, and Rewards
10.1 Nature and operation of the Leaderboard
The Leaderboard is Sportsaathi's proprietary ranking system generated algorithmically based on Match data entered by Users. Rankings are a relative indicator of performance based on available data and are not a certified or officially recognised measure of any User's sporting ability. No fee is charged for inclusion in, ranking on, or visibility of the Leaderboard.
10.2 Rewards — nature
Rewards are discretionary promotional incentives offered by Sportsaathi to encourage participation in skill-based sporting activities. Rewards are: offered solely at Sportsaathi's discretion; not guaranteed and not linked to wagering or betting; not funded through pooled User entry Fees; non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash unless explicitly stated; and subject to the specific terms published alongside each Reward programme.
10.3 Reward withholding and clawback
Sportsaathi reserves the right, without liability, to withhold, cancel, or reclaim any Reward where there is a reasonable suspicion or confirmed finding of fraudulent activity, data manipulation, or violation of these Terms; to withhold disbursement of any monetary recognition pending identity verification and tax compliance documentation; to offset any outstanding amount owed by a User against any Reward due; and to cancel any Reward issued in error.
10.4 Taxation
Users acknowledge that any Rewards may be subject to applicable tax laws, including tax deduction at source (TDS) under the Income Tax Act, 1961. Users are responsible for their own tax obligations in relation to any Rewards received.
11. Anti-fraud, fair play, and enforcement framework
11.1 Commitment to integrity
The integrity of the Leaderboard, rankings, and Reward system is fundamental to the Platform. Sportsaathi maintains a zero-tolerance policy with respect to any form of fraud, data manipulation, collusion, or cheating. All Users are required to participate in good faith and to enter only accurate, genuine Match data.
11.2 Prohibited fraudulent conduct
The following conduct constitutes fraud under these Terms:
- Entering false, exaggerated, or fabricated Match data, scores, or statistics for the purpose of improving Leaderboard standing;
- Arranging with other Users to enter pre-determined or manipulated Match results;
- Using technical means to override, bypass, or manipulate location validation, scoring systems, or ranking algorithms;
- Creating fake Matches or recording fictional sporting events as genuine;
- Using multiple Accounts to artificially generate Match data or inflate rankings.
11.3 Detection and investigation
Sportsaathi employs automated and manual monitoring systems to detect anomalous data patterns, statistically improbable results, and suspicious account behaviour. Upon detection of potentially fraudulent conduct, Sportsaathi may place a temporary hold on the User's Rewards and Leaderboard-eligible activity pending investigation, request documentary evidence of the Match in question, and conduct an internal investigation.
11.4 Master Enforcement Framework
This Section sets out the single master enforcement framework applicable to all Users for all violations of these Terms, the Platform Usage Standards in Part B, and the Community Guidelines in Part C. Where a violation falls within more than one category, Sportsaathi may apply measures from any applicable level. Sportsaathi is not required to progress through levels sequentially and may impose any level of measure where the nature of the violation warrants it.
| Level | Action | Description | Typical triggers |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Educational Notice | A reminder of Platform rules sent to the User's registered contact, identifying the specific behaviour that must change. | First-time or inadvertent minor breach. |
| 2 | Formal Warning | A written warning recorded on the User's account, noting the violation and advising that repeat conduct will result in escalated action. | Repeated minor breach after Educational Notice; moderately harmful content. |
| 3 | Content Removal | Removal of the offending content, match record, community post, or other material from the Platform. | Prohibited uploads; false match data; community feature misuse. |
| 4 | Ranking Adjustment | Correction or removal of manipulated match data with corresponding recalculation of Leaderboard rankings. | Confirmed data manipulation; coordinated score inflation; fake match records. |
| 5 | Feature Restriction | Temporary restriction of access to specific Platform features (e.g., community features, or tournament registration). | Persistent community feature misuse; repeated content violations. |

- A minimum of forty-eight (48) hours to respond for Temporary Suspension (Level 6); and
- A minimum of seven (7) calendar days to respond for Permanent Termination (Level 7).
Where the violation is severe, involves deliberate fraud, poses an immediate risk to the Platform or other Users, or involves a coordinated scheme, Sportsaathi may impose immediate suspension without prior notice, subject to providing the User an opportunity to respond thereafter. The notice requirement does not apply to the merger or suspension of duplicate Accounts created for fraudulent purposes, as described in Section 4.4.
11.6 Consequences of Permanent Termination
Upon Permanent Termination of a User's Account: all access to Platform features, Leaderboard data, Rewards, and User Content will immediately cease; all pending Rewards will be forfeited; the User will be permanently banned from creating a new Account on the Platform; and Sportsaathi may retain anonymised data for statistical and integrity purposes in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
11.7 Reporting
Users are encouraged to report suspected fraud or data manipulation through the in-app report button or by emailing support@sportsaathi.com. Sportsaathi will protect the identity of reporting Users to the extent permissible under Applicable Law. Users must not submit false or malicious reports. Deliberately filing a false report against another User may itself constitute a violation of these Terms.
12. Account suspension and termination
12.1 Grounds for suspension or termination
Sportsaathi reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your Account in any of the following circumstances: violation of any provision of these Terms; fraudulent, manipulative, or dishonest conduct; provision of false identity information or impersonation; failure to comply with any applicable age or identity verification requirement; use of the Platform for any illegal activity; harassment, abuse, or threatening conduct; upon a court order or direction from a competent governmental or regulatory authority; or where continued operation of the Account poses a risk to the Platform, other Users, or Sportsaathi.
12.2 Notice and process
Where the violation is not of an urgent or severe nature, Sportsaathi will issue a written notice of the alleged violation, provide the User with a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours (for Temporary Suspension at Level 6) or seven (7) calendar days (for Permanent Termination at Level 7) to respond, and consider the User's response before issuing a final decision. Where the violation is severe, involves deliberate fraud, or poses an immediate risk to the Platform or other Users, Sportsaathi may act immediately without prior notice. The notice requirement does not apply to fraudulent duplicate Accounts as described in Section 4.4.
12.3 Consequences of termination
Upon Termination: your access to all Services will immediately cease; all pending Rewards associated with a Terminated Account will be forfeited; Sportsaathi may retain anonymised Match and performance data for statistical and integrity purposes; and Sportsaathi's obligations to you will cease, except for obligations that expressly survive Termination (including Sections 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22). You will not be entitled to any refund of Fees paid prior to Termination, except in the circumstances described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
12.4 Voluntary account deletion
You may delete your Account at any time through the in-app settings (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Data deletion upon voluntary account closure will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
13. User Content
13.1 Ownership
You retain all intellectual property rights in and to the User Content that you create and upload to the Platform. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your User Content to Sportsaathi. Sportsaathi acquires only the limited licence described in Section 13.2.
13.2 Licence granted to Sportsaathi
By submitting or uploading User Content to the Platform, you grant Sportsaathi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, and transferable licence to: store, host, copy, and back up the User Content for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Platform; display and make available the User Content to other Users consistent with your privacy and visibility settings; modify, resize, or compress the User Content solely to the extent technically necessary for Platform functionality; and use anonymised and aggregated derivatives of User Content for internal performance analytics and Platform improvement. This licence does not extend to use of your User Content for external marketing, advertising campaigns, or AI training purposes without your separate, explicit, opt-in consent.
13.3 Licence duration
The licence granted under Section 13.2 continues for the duration of your Account and terminates upon Account deletion or Termination, except that anonymised, aggregated statistical data derived from your Match records may be retained indefinitely for Leaderboard integrity and statistical purposes; and User Content that has been shared with or displayed to other Users prior to deletion may remain visible to those Users for a maximum of thirty (30) days following Account deletion or content removal request, after which it will be permanently removed from the Platform.
13.4 User Content standards and representations
By uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that you own all rights in the User Content or have obtained all necessary permissions; the User Content does not infringe any third party's rights; where the User Content includes videos to be made publicly visible, you have obtained written consent from all identifiable individuals appearing therein; the User Content does not contain any content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful; and the User Content accurately represents genuine sporting events.
13.5 Sportsaathi's right to remove content
Sportsaathi reserves the right to review, moderate, edit, or remove any User Content at any time and without notice where the User Content violates these Terms, infringes any third party's rights, is unlawful or potentially harmful, or Sportsaathi has received a valid legal or regulatory direction to remove the content. For content falling within the categories listed in Rule 3(2)(b) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Sportsaathi will endeavour to remove or disable access within twenty-four (24) hours of receiving a complaint.
14. Intellectual property rights
14.1 Sportsaathi's intellectual property
All Company Content on the Platform, including software, source code, object code, APIs, databases, user interfaces, designs, graphics, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, algorithms, and ranking systems (“Sportsaathi IP”) is and shall remain the exclusive property of Sportsaathi or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, distribute, display, or create derivative works of any Sportsaathi IP; use any Sportsaathi trademark or logo without prior written consent; use Sportsaathi IP for any commercial purpose; or sub-license, sell, or assign the licence to any third party.
14.2 Feedback
If you submit suggestions, feedback, or ideas regarding the Platform, you grant Sportsaathi a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, implement, and incorporate such Feedback into the Platform or any other product or service without any obligation of compensation or attribution to you.
14.3 Reporting intellectual property infringement
If you believe that any content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property rights, you may submit a written notice to support@sportsaathi.com containing: identification of the allegedly infringing content; identification of the intellectual property right you claim is infringed; a declaration that you are the owner or authorised representative; and your contact details.
15. Third-party services and integrations
15.1 Third-Party Service Providers
The Platform integrates with the following Third-Party Services:
- MSG91: For OTP-based SMS authentication.
- Sentry: For crash and error monitoring.
- Neon: For PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Railway: For backend application server hosting.
- Cloudinary: For image and document storage.
The data each provider receives, and the purpose for which it receives it, is set out in Section 5.1 of the Privacy Policy.
Sportsaathi is not responsible for the practices, availability, or content of any Third-Party Service. Your use of Third-Party Services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.
15.2 WhatsApp and external platform redirection
Certain features of the Platform may involve redirection to external platforms, including WhatsApp communities managed by Sportsaathi. Users will be clearly informed of the redirection before it occurs and will be required to take an affirmative action to proceed. Once a User accesses any external platform, all data and interactions on that platform are governed exclusively by the policies and terms of that platform. Sportsaathi bears no responsibility for any data collection, processing, or handling by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms Inc. following redirection. Participation in external community platforms is entirely voluntary.
15.3 Third-party links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or resources provided for convenience only. Sportsaathi does not endorse, review, or have any control over the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website. You access third-party websites at your own risk.
16. Dispute resolution
16.1 Internal grievance mechanism — first step
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, Users are required to first attempt resolution of any dispute through Sportsaathi's internal grievance mechanism. To raise a grievance: submit a written grievance to the Grievance Officer at support@sportsaathi.com within thirty (30) calendar days of the event giving rise to the dispute; clearly describe the nature of the dispute, the relief sought, and attach any relevant evidence. Sportsaathi's Grievance Officer will acknowledge receipt within seventy-two (72) hours and issue a substantive response within thirty (30) calendar days.
16.2 Internal appeal
If you are not satisfied with the Grievance Officer's response, you may submit a written appeal to support@sportsaathi.com within fifteen (15) calendar days of receiving the Grievance Officer's decision. The appeal will be reviewed by a senior designated officer, independent of the officer who made the initial decision, and a final decision will be communicated within thirty (30) calendar days.
16.3 Arbitration
If the dispute remains unresolved following the completion of the internal grievance and appeal process, and the dispute does not involve a consumer acting in a non-commercial capacity (for whom Section 16.6 applies), the dispute shall be finally settled by binding arbitration on the following terms:
- Governing law
- The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended.
- Seat of arbitration
- New Delhi, India.
- Number of arbitrators
- A sole arbitrator, appointed by mutual consent within fifteen (15) days of a written notice of arbitration. If parties fail to agree, appointment shall be in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
- Language
- English.
- Institutional rules
- Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) Rules. In the event of conflict with the Act, the Act shall prevail.
- Timeline for initiation
- A notice of arbitration must be submitted within one (1) year of exhaustion of the internal process.
- Confidentiality
- All proceedings, submissions, and awards shall be strictly confidential.
16.4 Jurisdiction of courts
Notwithstanding Section 16.3, Sportsaathi reserves the right to seek interim or emergency relief from courts of competent jurisdiction. Subject to Section 16.3, the courts at New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter not subject to arbitration.
16.5 Consumer protection rights
Nothing in this Section 16 limits any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, to approach the appropriate District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, or the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). Your statutory rights under consumer protection law are not affected by these Terms.
16.6 Consumer dispute resolution
Where the dispute involves a User acting as a consumer for personal, non-commercial purposes, the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 apply in full. Such a User is not required to proceed through arbitration under Section 16.3 and may approach the appropriate District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, or the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) directly, without first exhausting the arbitration process. Nothing in Section 16.3 restricts this right. Sportsaathi encourages consumers to utilise the internal grievance mechanism in Section 16.1 as a first step, as it is typically faster and less costly than formal proceedings, but this is not a mandatory pre-condition for consumers accessing their rights under consumer law.
17. Disclaimers and warranties
17.1 Platform provided “as is”
The Platform and all Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by Applicable Law, Sportsaathi expressly disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement; warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or currency of any content or data; warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; and warranties as to the accuracy or fairness of Leaderboard rankings or Match statistics.
17.2 Physical safety disclaimer
Sportsaathi is a digital platform and does not assume any responsibility for the physical safety of Users during any sporting Match or event recorded or organised through the Platform. You acknowledge that participation in physical sports activities carries inherent risks of injury, and you assume all such risks voluntarily. Sportsaathi is not liable for any injury, illness, death, property damage, or loss arising from your participation in any Match.
17.3 Data accuracy disclaimer
Leaderboard rankings, Match statistics, player profiles, and performance data on the Platform are substantially generated from data entered by Users. Sportsaathi does not independently verify such data except in officially organised Sportsaathi tournaments, where Sportsaathi uses reasonable commercial efforts to validate match data using available system records and designated officials. Even in officially organised Sportsaathi tournaments where data oversight is applied, Sportsaathi does not warrant that all data is completely accurate and expressly disclaims liability for any residual errors or omissions in match records.
18. Limitation of liability
18.1 Exclusion of indirect losses
To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, Sportsaathi, its directors, officers, employees, agents, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or revenue; loss of data or corruption of data; loss of business opportunity or goodwill; loss arising from inability to access or use the Platform; loss arising from reliance on any Leaderboard ranking or Match statistic; or any injury, illness, or physical harm sustained during a sporting Match.
18.2 Cap on direct liability
In all cases, Sportsaathi's aggregate maximum liability to you for any direct damages arising under or in connection with these Terms, whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount of Fees actually paid by you to Sportsaathi in the three (3) calendar months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or Indian Rupees Ten Thousand (INR 10,000), whichever is greater.
Note: The cap in this Section does not apply to the circumstances listed in Section 18.3, including gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
18.3 Exceptions
The limitations in Sections 18.1 and 18.2 shall not apply to: liability arising from Sportsaathi's gross negligence or wilful misconduct; liability for death or personal injury caused by Sportsaathi's negligence, to the extent not excludable under Applicable Law; or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Applicable Law, including rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
19. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sportsaathi, its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, partners, and affiliates (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and court costs) arising out of or relating to:
- Your breach of any provision of these Terms;
- Your violation of any Applicable Law in connection with your use of the Platform;
- Any User Content you submit, post, or upload to the Platform;
- Your infringement of any intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party;
- Your fraudulent, manipulative, or dishonest conduct on the Platform;
- Any claim brought by a third party as a result of your use of the Platform;
- Your participation in any physical sporting Match or event organised by a Registered Organiser or by yourself through the Platform, but not including participation in events directly organised and administered by Sportsaathi (Category A Tournaments), for which Sportsaathi's own liability framework in Section 18 applies.
20. Force majeure
Sportsaathi shall not be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in the performance of any obligation under these Terms, to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by or results from a Force Majeure Event. A “Force Majeure Event” means any event that is genuinely unforeseeable and beyond the reasonable control of Sportsaathi, including but not limited to: acts of God including earthquakes, floods, storms, cyclones, or other natural disasters; previously unforeseeable epidemics, pandemics, or public health emergencies; war, hostility, civil unrest, terrorism, or sabotage; government or regulatory action including legislative changes, sanctions, or licensing restrictions; nationwide or regional internet infrastructure failures or power outages; failure or disruption of Third-Party Service Providers despite reasonable security and redundancy measures; and cyberattacks or distributed denial-of-service attacks against Sportsaathi's infrastructure despite reasonable security measures.
In the event of a Force Majeure Event, Sportsaathi will notify Users through the Platform as soon as reasonably practicable and will use commercially reasonable efforts to restore Services as quickly as possible. Refund obligations during Force Majeure Events are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
21. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is governed by Sportsaathi's Privacy Policy, available at https://sportsaathi.com/privacy-policy and incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy describes how Sportsaathi collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data, and sets out your rights as a data principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy with respect to the processing of personal data, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.
Cookies and similar tracking technologies used on the website are governed by Sportsaathi's Cookie Policy, which is published on this site.
22. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without reference to its conflict of law principles. The applicability of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded.
23. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or arbitral tribunal to be invalid, illegal, void, or unenforceable under Applicable Law, that provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
24. Waiver
No failure or delay by Sportsaathi in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right. No single or partial exercise of any right shall preclude any further exercise of that right or any other right. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Sportsaathi to be effective.
25. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund and Cancellation Policy, Cookie Policy, Platform Usage Standards (Part B of these Terms), Community Guidelines (Part C of these Terms), and, where applicable, the Registered Organiser Agreement, and any additional terms or policies specifically incorporated by reference herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sportsaathi with respect to your use of the Platform.

26. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, delegate, or sub-license any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without the prior written consent of Sportsaathi. Sportsaathi may assign, transfer, or sub-license any or all of its rights and obligations under these Terms to any affiliate, successor entity, or acquirer of Sportsaathi's business or assets, without your prior consent. Sportsaathi will notify you of any such assignment that materially affects your rights under these Terms.
27. Relationship of parties
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, franchise, or agency between you and Sportsaathi. You are an independent user of the Platform. Neither party shall have the authority to bind the other or incur any obligation on the other's behalf.

Part B — Platform Usage Standards
Scope of Part B
These Platform Usage Standards form an integral part of the Terms of Use and apply to all Users in all capacities.
B1. Fair play and data integrity
The integrity of the Leaderboard, rankings, and Reward system is the foundation of the Sportsaathi Platform. All Users are required to participate in good faith and to ensure that all data submitted to the Platform is accurate, genuine, and reflective of actual sporting activity.
B1.1 Required standards
All Users must: record only genuine sporting activities on the Platform; submit accurate and truthful match scores and player statistics; correctly identify all participants in a recorded Match; ensure all results reflect actual play and genuine outcomes; respect the rules of the sport and applicable tournament regulations; and cooperate with any audit, investigation, or verification process initiated by Sportsaathi.
B1.2 Prohibited conduct — data and rankings
The following conduct constitutes a violation of these Standards and may amount to fraud under these Terms:
- Creating, recording, or submitting fake Matches or fictional sporting events;
- Fabricating or inflating player performance statistics, scores, or match results;
- Coordinating with other Users to submit pre-determined or manipulated results;
- Using alternate Accounts, bots, or automated scripts to generate or inflate Match data;
- Circumventing Sportsaathi's location-based validation or identity verification mechanisms;
- Organising or participating in collusive arrangements to artificially improve Leaderboard standings; and
- Exploiting technical bugs or system errors to obtain an unfair advantage.
B1.3 Sportsaathi's audit and correction powers
Sportsaathi reserves the right to audit any Match record or Tournament result at any time; request documentary or photographic evidence of a recorded Match, including GPS records or third-party verification; recalculate and adjust Leaderboard rankings where manipulation or data errors are identified; remove, correct, or nullify any suspicious or fraudulent Match record; and impose enforcement measures in accordance with Section 11.4. Sportsaathi's determination as to whether a Match record is accurate or manipulated is final, subject to the internal appeal process in Section 16.2.
B2. Match data submission standards
Because Leaderboard rankings and Reward eligibility are generated directly from Match data submitted by Users, the accuracy of that data is critical to the fairness of the Platform. Users submitting Match data must ensure that: match scores accurately reflect the actual result; all participating players are correctly identified by their registered Platform username or name; player statistics reflect actual performance; the Match took place at the stated venue and at the stated time; and no data is added, altered, or removed after the match has been locked, except through Sportsaathi's authorised correction process.
B2.1 Data corrections
Minor corrections to Match data may be submitted within a limited window after entry. Once a Match record is locked, corrections require written request to support@sportsaathi.com with full details of the error. Sportsaathi's decision on any correction request is final, subject to the internal appeal process in Section 16.2.
B3. Registered Organiser conduct standards
Registered Organisers bear enhanced responsibilities for the conduct of Tournaments they create and administer on the Platform. The obligations in this Section are in addition to, and not in substitution of, those set out in Section 6A of these Terms and the Registered Organiser Agreement.
B3.1 Organiser obligations
Registered Organisers must: publish complete, accurate, and truthful information about every Tournament before accepting registrations; conduct Tournaments in a fair, transparent, and organised manner; honour the prize structure advertised at the time of registration; maintain the safety and wellbeing of participants at the venue; provide timely communication to participants about schedule changes, postponements, or cancellations; comply with all applicable local laws governing public events, sporting activities, and venue operations; and process or facilitate refunds in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
B3.2 Prohibited organiser conduct
Registered Organisers may not: misrepresent or overstate prizes; cancel or postpone a Tournament without providing adequate notice and following the refund obligations in the Refund and Cancellation Policy; collect entry fees through any channel the participant cannot evidence in the app, so that every Fee remains auditable; pool participant entry fees to fund prize awards; conduct, facilitate, or permit any form of gambling, betting, or wagering activity; or discriminate against participants on any prohibited ground.
B4. Community feature usage standards
Community Features on the Platform are intended exclusively to facilitate sports-related coordination and communication among Users. They may not be used for any purpose outside the scope of sports participation and community engagement.
B4.1 Permitted uses
Community Features may be used for: organising, coordinating, or communicating about Matches, Tournaments, and training sessions; team management and player coordination; sharing sports-related content relevant to the Platform's community; and contacting Sportsaathi support or other authorised purposes.
B4.2 Prohibited uses
Users must not use Community Features for: spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications; political campaigning, canvassing, or electioneering of any kind; religious promotion or proselytising; multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or network marketing solicitation; commercial advertising or business promotion not authorised by Sportsaathi; fraudulent schemes, phishing, or deceptive solicitation; sharing content that is defamatory, obscene, illegal, or in violation of any applicable law; or any purpose that undermines the integrity, safety, or sports focus of the Platform.
B5. Safety and physical risk acknowledgement
Sportsaathi is a digital platform and does not supervise, officiate, or control the physical conduct of any Match or sporting event. All Users acknowledge that: participation in any physical sporting activity carries inherent risks of injury, illness, or death; Sportsaathi does not provide medical services, safety personnel, or physical supervision; Sportsaathi is not responsible for the safety, condition, or management of any venue; and Users participate in all physical sporting activities entirely at their own risk.
B5.1 User responsibilities
Users are responsible for: honestly assessing their own physical fitness and health before participating; seeking appropriate medical advice before engaging in strenuous physical activity; complying with all venue rules, safety instructions, and applicable health and safety regulations; ensuring that any Tournament they organise meets applicable safety standards; and obtaining appropriate personal insurance or sports accident cover where they consider it necessary.
B6. Fraud prevention
Sportsaathi operates a zero-tolerance policy with respect to all forms of fraud on the Platform. The following activities constitute fraud for the purposes of these Standards and the Terms: creating or submitting fake Tournament registrations or fictitious participant lists; identity fraud including registering under a false name; payment fraud including submitting false refund claims or exploiting pricing errors; chargeback abuse — initiating chargebacks for transactions where the participation activity was validly delivered and where no refund entitlement exists; reward abuse through multi-accounting, data manipulation, or misrepresentation of eligibility; and ranking manipulation as described in Section B1.
Upon confirming fraud, Sportsaathi may impose enforcement measures in accordance with Section 11.4, up to and including permanent Account termination and referral to law enforcement authorities.
B7. Platform security standards
The security and integrity of the Sportsaathi Platform are paramount. Users must not, under any circumstances: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers, databases, or associated infrastructure; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Sportsaathi system or network without written authorisation; reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Platform; use web scraping, crawling, or data-mining tools to extract data without written consent; upload, transmit, or distribute any virus, Trojan horse, worm, ransomware, spyware, malware, or other malicious code; interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the performance or integrity of the Platform; or use automated scripts, bots, or other non-human means to access or interact with the Platform without prior written authorisation.
B7.1 Reporting security vulnerabilities
Users who identify a genuine security vulnerability in the Platform are encouraged to report it responsibly by emailing support@sportsaathi.com with details of the vulnerability. Sportsaathi will investigate all responsible disclosure reports and take appropriate remedial action.
Part C — Community Guidelines
Scope of Part C
These Community Guidelines form an integral part of the Terms of Use and apply to every individual who accesses or uses the Platform in any capacity.
C1. Our community values
Sportsaathi is founded upon the following core principles, which guide everything we do and everything we expect from our community. These values are not aspirational — they are the active standards by which all conduct on the Platform is measured.
| Value | What it means for our community |
|---|---|
| Fair Play | Every result on the Platform reflects genuine sporting effort. We do not tolerate data manipulation, fake matches, or ranking fraud. |
| Respect | All Users treat opponents, teammates, officials, organisers, and Sportsaathi personnel with courtesy and dignity, on and off the Platform. |
| Integrity | Users are honest in their submissions, transparent in their conduct, and accountable for what they post and record. |
| Inclusion | Sportsaathi welcomes players of all backgrounds, abilities, genders, and sporting levels. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. |
| Safety | We are committed to a platform environment that is free from threats, harassment, and harmful content. |

- Threats of physical harm, property damage, or any other form of violence;
- Defamatory statements or the deliberate spread of false information about another User or third party;

C2.3 Zero-tolerance conduct
Sportsaathi maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward the following conduct, which may result in immediate Account suspension or Permanent Termination (Level 7) without a prior warning:
- Violent threats against any individual;
- Hate speech targeting any group on any protected characteristic;
- Sexual harassment or non-consensual sharing of intimate content; and
- Coordinated harassment campaigns involving multiple Users acting together to target an individual.
C3. Fair play and sporting integrity
Sportsaathi exists to celebrate genuine sporting performance. All Users must participate honestly in all Matches and Tournaments; record only genuine sporting activities that actually took place; submit only accurate match scores, player statistics, and participation records; correctly identify all participants involved in any recorded Match; respect the rules of the sport being played; report any suspicious activity or data manipulation through the channels described in Section 30; and cooperate fully with any audit, investigation, or data verification process initiated by Sportsaathi.
C4. Account responsibility
Every Account on the Platform belongs to one individual. Users are fully responsible for all activity that takes place through their Account. All Users must register using accurate, truthful, and complete identity information; maintain only one (1) personal Account on the Platform at any time; keep Account login credentials, OTP codes, and passwords secure and confidential; log out of their Account on shared or public devices after each session; update their Account information promptly when it changes; and notify Sportsaathi immediately at support@sportsaathi.com if they suspect any unauthorised access to their Account.
C5. Tournament and match conduct
All Users participating in Matches and Tournaments are expected to conduct themselves professionally, respectfully, and in accordance with the spirit of fair competition. Participants must: read and follow all published Tournament rules before registering and participating; follow all reasonable instructions from Tournament organisers, officials, and referees; arrive at the venue prepared, in appropriate sporting attire, and on time; respect all venue policies, property, and the instructions of venue staff; demonstrate sportsmanship throughout the Match or Tournament; and raise any concern about a Match outcome or official decision through the appropriate channel — directly with the organiser or through Sportsaathi's support process — and not through confrontation at the venue.
C5.1 Prohibited conduct during matches and tournaments
The following conduct is prohibited: engaging in unsporting conduct; intentionally disrupting the smooth conduct of an event; harassing, threatening, or abusing Tournament officials, referees, or organisers; damaging or misusing venue property; threatening or intimidating other participants or spectators; and any behaviour that brings the sport, the event, or the Sportsaathi community into disrepute.
C6. Registered Organiser community standards
Registered Organisers occupy a position of trust within the Sportsaathi community. In addition to the obligations set out in Section 6A of these Terms and Section B3 of Part B, Registered Organisers are expected to: publish complete, accurate, and honest information about every Tournament before accepting registrations; clearly disclose all entry fees and conditions attached to any prize or Reward before registration opens; conduct all Tournaments fairly, impartially, and in accordance with the published rules; honour the prize structure advertised at the time of registration; communicate any schedule changes, postponements, or cancellations to all registered participants promptly; and handle participant complaints and refund requests in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy. The prohibition on pooling participant entry fees to fund prizes is absolute and is separately addressed in Section 6A.2 of these Terms.
C7. Online safety and wellbeing
Sportsaathi cares about the safety and wellbeing of every member of its community. Users must not use the Platform to: encourage or promote self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders in any form; promote dangerous, reckless, or unsafe sporting behaviour that could cause harm to the User or others; physically threaten or intimidate any person connected with an event facilitated through the Platform; share another User's personal information without their consent in a manner that could endanger their safety; or engage in any conduct designed to cause psychological harm, distress, or fear to another User. If you experience or witness conduct on the Platform that affects your safety or wellbeing, please report it immediately through the channels described in Section 30.
C8. Content and media standards
All content posted to the Platform, including match data, community posts, and profile information, must comply with the standards set out in Part B of these Terms (Sections B5 and B6) and with Applicable Law. Sportsaathi reserves the right to monitor, review, and remove any content posted through Community Features that violates these Guidelines without prior notice to the User.
C9. Enforcement of Community Guidelines
Violations of these Community Guidelines are governed by the Master Enforcement Framework set out in Section 11.4 of these Terms. The enforcement levels, notice requirements, and consequence provisions in Section 11.4 apply in full to all Community Guidelines violations. In the event of any inconsistency between the enforcement provisions in this Part C and Section 11.4, Section 11.4 shall prevail.
C10. Appeals
Any User who believes that an enforcement action taken for a Community Guidelines violation was incorrect or disproportionate may appeal that decision through the internal appeal process described in Section 16.2. To submit an appeal, email support@sportsaathi.com within fifteen (15) calendar days of receiving the enforcement decision, using the subject line: “Appeal — Community Guidelines Enforcement — [Registered Mobile Number]”, clearly explaining the grounds of the appeal and including any supporting evidence not previously considered.
